:: yay for friday ::

I would like to give the almost weekend a huge shout out for showing up and deciding to be oh so lovely here. We've got sunny and warm days ahead .. which makes for a happy household. All of us have been far too stir crazy lately. So this weekend sees us working more on readying for Gus, running rampant in the outdoors, busting out the grill, and digging up a garden .. I must say I am beyond looking forward to it.

: wednesday :

Well it ended up snowing here .. and is still doing so right now. The kids and I are taking it easy and enjoying this little day of being snowed in. I did manage to tidy up my work space this morning in the hopes of getting a minute or two to work on a new project. So here's to hoping that your Wednesday is lovely! 

: hello week :

I hope everyone out there is having a lovely start to their week.... I must say here it has been a little dreary and slow going on this end. The kids and I have been making good use of being rained in with lots of games, books, and movies. It is apparently going to snow tomorrow, however a pretty weekend is waiting in the wings ... or so they say. I think if the little ones cooperate tomorrow will make for a rather perfect sewing day ... so we shall see. In the meantime here are shots of the kids and a few little items in the shop. :: an update ::

Hello folks!

Well it's been a month since I last updated this thing .. and I've had plenty of distraction, so the time has really gotten away from me. This so called distraction comes in the form of our ever expanding family. The husband and I are expecting another little one come spring ... and we couldn't be happier. With this news comes all that pregnancy goodness in the form of nausea and extreme sleepiness.... hence my being absent. But in the meantime I've been enjoying a lot of time cuddled up with Ruby and Harvey, reading and watching movies, so it's been a pretty nice little vacation of sorts.

Starting this week though I'm making a slow return to it all.  I added two new bags to the shop today... with more on the way.

So far this week I've been busy working on some wall pieces for the shop .... oh and taking lots of walks with this sweet family of mine. Hope everyone is having a super week!

:: mental block ::

I spent all day yesterday trying to work on my Etsy 'about page'. It's super difficult to have to write about yourself... and after much editing and rethinking I finally think I got it kind of okay. You can read it here.  And now some photos!

My machine and I are super close right now ... it's only one week til Blue Plum, so I've been a little busy. I'm pretty excited about my setup this go around.. the husband and I have some pretty good ideas up our sleeves to make this the best one yet. As far as product goes I've got some pretty ambitious plans to finish in 6 days... lots of bags, wallets, clutches, and even something for the little ones (stuffed animals!).

I do have to cut this short and head into the land of sewing.. but here is a sampling of yesterdays creations.

sweet Harvey, sewing, and the Everybodyfields...

Well it's that time of year where I'm about to enter into heavy production mode. I've spent the past little bit getting my house super clean and my fabric super organized... this all leads up to long dates with my sewing machine. If everything around me is in order then I don't feel to bad about the mess I make in my little corner.
Rhythm and Roots is 27 days away (eek!) and I have a super sweet spot where I will be able to sell and listen to the most wonderful sounds all the day long. There are so many bands I can't wait to see, that being said,  I am most looking forward to The everybodyfields reunion that is going to be taking place.... Johnson City at it's finest.


Aside from Rhythm and Roots I've got etsy holiday season to prep for... so lots o' sewing ahead!

But first and foremost I've got a little man about to turn one next week... Harvey Jack is getting to be a big boy for sure...
