[] the Birthday boy []

This past weekend our little Harvey Jack turned 2.  It was spent surrounded by family and friends.. and on Sunday, the actual birthday, we headed out to our favorite nearby spot for a picnic and lake play.

It's wild and crazy to realize he has been here with us that long ... time sure picks up speed when kids enter the picture. I feel oh so lucky to be blessed with such a loving, sweet, rotten, fearless little fella. He can without a doubt wear me out at the end of the day... but I wouldn't  have it any other way.

birthday week has arrived...

It's birthday week!
Harvey turns the ripe old age of 1 on friday, and on saturday there is a little shindig for the sweetest/rowdiest fella I know.
A few things in preparation for the big event :
- first haircut (gasp! i know.. it made me want to cry, but having to explain he isn't a girl is getting old)
- a family fun day out and about in the "big" city
- a multitude of drawings per Ruby for Harvey
- treat bags for the little ones (full of homemade sketchbooks and crayons)
and the photo montage that follows these events....

sweet Harvey, sewing, and the Everybodyfields...

Well it's that time of year where I'm about to enter into heavy production mode. I've spent the past little bit getting my house super clean and my fabric super organized... this all leads up to long dates with my sewing machine. If everything around me is in order then I don't feel to bad about the mess I make in my little corner.
Rhythm and Roots is 27 days away (eek!) and I have a super sweet spot where I will be able to sell and listen to the most wonderful sounds all the day long. There are so many bands I can't wait to see, that being said,  I am most looking forward to The everybodyfields reunion that is going to be taking place.... Johnson City at it's finest.


Aside from Rhythm and Roots I've got etsy holiday season to prep for... so lots o' sewing ahead!

But first and foremost I've got a little man about to turn one next week... Harvey Jack is getting to be a big boy for sure...
