Happy almost weekend!
I wanted to share what I've been working on for the past week ...

:: happenings and such ::

It's been a productive week thus far, and it's only Tuesday. I've been deep in the land of custom orders. I just finished this blanket and pillow combo for a dear dear friend... it's made of all her favorite tour shirts.

Next on the to do list : a bouqet made from fabric for a lovely friends wedding. Then I promise I will be rolling new summer items in shop. Got to love being busy!

Oh and I almost forgot! My sweet husband surprised me with the most fantastic of birthday gifts... a trip to Pittsburgh to see The Avett Brothers! I think I jumped around like a giddy child.

:: hello new decade ::

I turned 30 today.
I am feeling pretty wonderful about it... all I have to do is look at my handsome husband, my sweet kids, and all the lovely people I get to call my family and friends .. and I know that I've got it pretty darn good. 

:: new do's and striped tights ::

Well we cut the boys hair.. yep.. Harvey got himself a fancy new do. This new hair makes him look all big boy like now, but his small stature keeps him being my baby for quite awhile longer.
Oh and Ruby wanted to share her latest outfit creation.

it was the most perfect of days ..
the kids visited with the grandparents and we all played outside.

these are photos from my dad's house .. or i suppose i should say papaw, since that is what he goes by these days.  it was a beautiful day in one of my most favorite of places.

:: sewing and the outdoors ::

I must say I was pretty darn productive yesterday ... seven pouches and a purse. Even with all that sewing the husband, kids, and I all managed to sneak in a visit to Bays Mountain ... pretty fancy day indeed.
