thanks heavens for the weekend...
I've been in custom order land again this week..  i've completed two bags for lovely folks, and i've got two new projects i'm working on : a set of little girl bags made from their great grandmothers vintage dinner napkins and a large quilt made from a fantastic collection of concert/festival t-shirts.
I promise to bring some new things into the shop soon...

here are some of those custom orders.. and a little snapshot of harvey. he's been throwing on ruby's tutus lately.. our very own grunge prince.

zip. zip. hooray!

Today I tackled the wild world of zippers. What might not seem like such a big idea to some, has always been rather stress inducing for me. Ya see, I never really tried to sew a zipper before.. I was just dead set on not being able to do it.
Well my friends, I am happy to report that I can in fact sew a zipper. It's made for a rather happy day in my neck of the woods. So be on the lookout for a large dose of clutches and little pouches to hit the shop in the coming days. First up, this little guy.. he's headed into the shop tomorrow.

as you may notice in the picture above I am decked out in an assortment of band aids... Ruby has currently decided that they are the accessory of the moment.

making and sewing..

Well it has finally arrived ... the time for new items almost daily in the shop .
I added my first new listing just this morning.  Be sure to check the shop often... me and this new machine are becoming best friends rather quickly, so that means lots of newness! I'm going to be introducing clutches, change purses, and bags with zipper closures in the coming days... not to mention printed fabrics this summer!
